This Sunday, October 12, we celebrate the Feast of St. Philip here at the Cathedral of St. Philip – and it will be a big day!
We will baptize new Christians at the 8:45 a.m. service, as is our tradition on this feast day and other major feasts throughout the year. The Rev. Canon Julia Mitchener will celebrate, and the Rev. Canon George Maxwell will preach.
Then, we welcome the Right Rev. Robert Wright, Bishop of Atlanta, for a parish visitation. Bishop Wright will teach at the Dean’s Forum at 10:10 a.m. in Child Hall.
At the 11:15 a.m. service, Bishop Wright will celebrate, preach, and confirm 36 Cathedral members. These confirmands participated in confirmation class throughout the 2024-2025 program year. Pray for all of these confirmands and congratulate them for reaching these milestones of their Christian faith!
