Hispanic Ministries
The Sunday Koinonia services are held at 11:15 a.m. with the Rev. Deacon Juan Sandoval. First Sunday of each month is a full eucharist with the Rev. Thee Smith officiating. There are several new parishioners who attend regularly.
We have three acolytes who assist on Sundays. Karen Bunn continues to be our organist.
During the past year we have had eight baptisms, three presentations of a 40-day-old, and two quinceañeras. We continue to have monthly birthday celebrations that are well attended. Pastoral care continues to members of the Hispanic community. There were six children in the informed first communion class offered in Spanish. We will celebrate the Feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe on December 11 with the youth playing various parts in the story of Juan Diego. During Holy Week, we provided an outdoor walking version of Via Crucis (Stations of the Cross) starting in the labyrinth and around the church ending in the Memorial Garden.
We will continue to serve the community with baptisms, quinceañeras, weddings, presentations, confirmation classes (for those who attend the Spanish language service, prospective confirmands have begun attending the confirmation classes in English), and adult education. All are welcome to attend these Spanish-language services.

Los servicios dominicales de Koinonia se celebran a las 11:15 a. m. y son oficiados por el Rev Diácono Juan Sandoval. El primer domingo de cada mes se celebra una Eucaristía completa oficiada por el Rvdo. Thee Smith. Hay varios feligreses nuevos que asisten con regularidad.
Contamos con tres acólitas que colaboran los domingos. Karen Bunn continúa como nuestra organista.
Durante el último año hemos tenido ocho bautizos, tres presentaciones de bebés de 40 días de nacido y dos celebraciones de quinceañeras. Seguimos celebrando los cumpleaños mensualmente con gran asistencia. Se continúa brindando atención pastoral a los miembros de la comunidad hispana. Seis niños participaron en la clase de preparación para la primera comunión impartida en español. Celebraremos la fiesta de la Virgen de Guadalupe el 11 de diciembre; los jóvenes representarán diversos papeles en la historia de Juan Diego. Durante la Semana Santa, organizamos un Vía Crucis al aire libre que recorrió el laberinto y los alrededores de la iglesia, finalizando en el Jardín Conmemorativo.
Seguiremos sirviendo a la comunidad mediante bautizos, quinceañeras, bodas, presentaciones, clases de confirmación (para quienes asisten al servicio en español; los candidatos a la confirmación han comenzado a asistir a las clases en inglés) y educación para adultos. Todos son bienvenidos a asistir a estos servicios en español.
