The 38th Annual Homeless Requiem

“We gather to serve and to be served, to bless and to be blessed, to remember and to be remembered.”
The Rev. Canon Cathy Zappa in her sermon "We Remember" from November 5, 2017

Please join us for the 38th Annual Homeless Requiem at the Cathedral of St. Philip, Monday, November 2, 2026. This service remembers our unhoused neighbors who have died in Atlanta in the past year. The Cathedral community, service providers, and guests gather for an evening of prayer, support, and fellowship.

Before the requiem service, guests are invited to enjoy a communal dinner. A variety of essential services—including health screenings, a foot clinic, and a clothing closet—are offered to support our guests' needs. Childcare is available throughout the event.

All are welcome to participate in this meaningful tradition. We invite financial contributions to assist in providing clothing, supplies, and transportation for our guests. Volunteers are needed both before and during the event. Your generosity helps make this event possible and ensures our continued service to the unhoused in our community.
