“Be a part of the village that uplifts them.”
The Cathedral Giving by Design Beneficiary Committee is thrilled to announce the selection of Global Village Project as beneficiary for our 2026 event. Global Village Project (GVP) is the only middle school in the United States dedicated to meeting the unique needs of recently resettled refugee girls. Located just outside Atlanta, in Decatur, GVP reactivates the interrupted schooling of refugee girls—many of whom have missed 3 to 6 years of education or have never been to school before—so they can access the benefits of a holistic, high-quality education and be prepared not only for high school, but for lifelong success.
Through Cathedral Giving by Design, the Cathedral of St. Philip can help provide a safe place to learn, grow, and thrive, by equipping three critical shared spaces (auditorium, library, and cafeteria) in their new school campus. By investing in these vibrant, functional, and healing-centered spaces, Cathedral Giving by Design will “Furnish the Future”—one filled with books, music, meals, and belonging—for refugee girls finding their way forward. Let’s be a part of the village that uplifts them.
Come learn more about this dynamic organization on Sunday, September 7, 10:10 a.m., in Child Hall, and be sure to mark your calendars for Cathedral Giving by Design on January 23–24, 2026. You can stay up to date by visiting our website, and if you would like to volunteer to help with the event and support Global Village Project, please email info@cathedralgivingbydesign.org. Join us in furnishing their future!
