Construction Update: June 12, 2026

Posted on

The fences are down, temporary walls have been removed, and it looks like a chapel!  From the rich blue carpet with a labyrinth design inset to the gorgeous landscaping and hardscaping to the stunning light from the oculus and windows, the chapel has come together so beautifully. We look forward to the quiet and contemplative sacred space that the chapel will provide on a daily basis for prayer, contemplation, and worship.

In addition, the Cathedral will begin renovating the bathrooms in the Atrium and near Child Hall beginning in July. The work will be phased so that a bathroom will always be available on the main level. After 25 years of faithful service, expect refreshed bathrooms by the start of the fall!

We are so grateful to the more than 130 households that have responded to the matching gift invitation. Through the generosity of a Cathedral family, a new gift/pledge of any amount will be matched with $1,000! If you have not yet made a pledge to the Good Faith Chapel, now is the time! As the Good Faith Chapel construction (and these updates) comes to an end, please accept our heartfelt thanks for your prayers, patience, and support over the past eighteen months.  We could not have built this sacred space without the good faith of neighbors, clergy & staff, friends, and donors. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
