We are pleased to announce that Nancy Qarmout has been chosen as the new executive director of the Cathedral Farmers Market.
Sara Craig-Goodell, who has been with the Market for the last seven years, serving as executive director for the last two, told us at the end of last season that she would be leaving the market to pursue other interests. Sara has graciously made herself available to assist Nancy in the transition.
Nancy is new to us, but not to farmers markets. She founded the Tucker Farmers Market, which is now in its eighth season. Beyond the Tucker market, Nancy has also been an active participant with the Georgia Farmers Market Association and served as market manager for the Norcross Community Market. Nancy commented, “I am passionate about bringing people together and fostering relationships in and among communities and individuals. This passion has enabled me to develop connections between vendors, community organizations, and customers that stabilize the market and generate visibility.”
We look forward to welcoming back our vendors, volunteers, and customers for the 2020 season. Join us on March 7 for opening day as we begin the next chapter for Market!
