Susan Soper will give a presentation on the ministry of presence at the time of death on Wednesday, November 8 at noon in the Gould Room.
Susan Soper, a native Atlantan, started her journalism career in Washington, D.C. and New York before becoming the features editor and writing coach at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. When her father died suddenly at 73, she realized the need for families to be prepared before losing a loved one — to ease the stress during a time of sadness and grief.
She created and wrote a fill-in-the-blank workbook called ObitKit that gives families peace of mind that final wishes are known and can be carried out. Whether you are writing an obit for a loved one or thinking about how you would like to be remembered, this lunch and learn session can help and will discuss trends in obituaries and offer tips on how to think creatively about your life and legacy.
Buy lunch from Flora & Flour in the Cathedral kitchen or bring your own. A $10 donation for the presentation is recommended.
