The Cathedral made and delivered an amazing 23 Christmas baskets this year for the original Habitat homeowners still living in the homes we built. Baskets were filled with delicious home baked breads, cookies, nuts, fruit, and other goodies that make these a delight for our homeowners to receive. Special thanks go for the support and tireless efforts of St. Clare's Guild that coordinated most of the contributions to fill these baskets. As we were communicating to homeowners that we were going to be coming this year, we got a beautiful note from Cynthia Roseberry, whose home we built in 1999, thanking the Cathedral for all the love we have shown her family over the years. Cynthia has wonderful enthusiasm and is a great example of the goals and success of Habitat as a ministry. In helping her build a home, we made a difference that mattered for her, for her family (her “young boys” are now adults), and her community. Her house still looks great today. The effects of just one home are far reaching over the near and long term. That is exactly the impact we are trying to have as a Cathedral Habitat team. Come be part of and support our efforts as we build another home in 2019. For more information about the Cathedral's annual Habitat build, contact John Champion, firstname.lastname@example.org.
