The Cathedral of St. Philip - Atlanta, GA

Flower Festival to Include Book Launch, Iron Floral Design Competition, and Pop-up Shop

Tickets and information are available at cathedralantiques.org/flowers.

In addition to two great speakers and spectacular floral designs created by Atlanta garden clubs and church flower guilds, the Flower Festival at this year’s Cathedral Antiques Show will feature a national book launch, a floral design contest and a pop-up garden shop.

On Friday, February 10, former White House floral designer Laura Dowling will give a presentation at 10:30 a.m. followed by the launch of her new book, Floral Diplomacy at the White House, which will be sold exclusively at the show before it is available elsewhere. Margot Shaw, founder and editor in chief of flower magazine, will give a presentation at 1:30 p.m., and at 2:30 p.m., Dowling and Shaw will judge an Iron Floral Design Competition in which three teams will compete against themselves and the clock to create floral masterpieces. (Not to be missed!) The Friday Flower Bouquet ticket includes all of these events, plus Friday general admission to the show, for just $45.

Tickets and information are available at cathedralantiques.org/flowers.

Please note: The Thursday speakers’ times were reversed in last week’s announcement. Chuck Chewning will speak at 10:30 a.m.; Alexa Hampton will speak and sign books at 1:30 p.m.
