The Cathedral of St. Philip - Atlanta, GA

Farewell Receptions for Wallace Marsh and David Fishburn

Come celebrate the ministry of Canon Wallace Marsh this Sunday, May 20 during the 10 a.m. hour at a reception in Child Hall! Wallace has served wonderfully these past 7 years, overseeing the areas of congregational life, worship, and pastoral care. This summer he and his family will move to Thomasville, Georgia, as his wife Margaret Ann transitions into a new position as Vice President for Environmental and Sustainability at Flowers Foods. The move will also allow the Marshes to be closer to family and for Wallace to pursue a new calling as high school teacher and coach. Thank you for your faithful service, Wallace Marsh!

Later this Sunday, celebrate the ministry of David Fishburn at a reception in Child Hall at 5:30 p.m! David has served faithfully at the Cathedral for 32 years, and he will retire later this summer. He will remain a Cathedral parishioner and, for his gracious work in this holy parish, we will bestow upon him the title Organist Emeritus! Retirement will afford David the opportunity to travel more, both to Pennsylvania to see family and abroad to explore the world. Thank you, David Fishburn!
