This year, Episcopal Relief and Development celebrates 75 years of healing a hurting world. As part of that celebration, a photo exhibition has been traveling across the United States, on display for many to see the work of God's people in the world. The exhibition will be displayed in the Cathedral's Atrium from August 14–31.
From Episcopal Relief and Development's website:
For 75 years, Episcopal Relief and Development’s diverse, faithful community has responded compassionately to the suffering in our world. With your partnership, we have grown from our founding in 1940 as a granting agency into a respected international development organization. We strengthen local churches and empower communities to fight poverty, hunger and disease with sustainable, locally-driven solutions. Together, we reach more than 3 million people annually in almost 40 countries.
One of the cornerstones of our 75th Anniversary Celebration is a touring exhibition of iconic photos from our programs around the world. This beautiful presentation leads the viewer through a meaningful, intimate exploration of our history and our four core program areas. Collected from five continents, these photographs highlight the faces and stories of Episcopal Relief and Development's 75 years of work.
