Choral Eucharist for All Faithful Departed

On All Saints’ Sunday, November 5, at 4 p.m., the Cathedral offers our annual Choral Eucharist for All Faithful Departed. During the Prayer of Consecration, the names of all Cathedral members and family and friends who have died during the past year are read aloud from the altar. The music for the service will center around Tomás Luis de Victoria’s great mass setting Missa O quam gloriosum, which is based on his motet of the same name. Come and help remember the faithful modern day saints who have passed on during the last year, while listening to some of the greatest music of the Renaissance. All are welcome. For those who cannot attend, this service will also be streamed online at stphilipscathedral.org/stream.
