The rains did not deter the enthusiasm for the dedication of our 31st Habitat for Humanity home on June 8, built in partnership with 14 other churches. It was a glorious celebration for our appreciative homeowner Antwonette Butts, her two children, family, and friends. Her manager and colleagues from work also came out to join in the celebration. We had another spectacular barbeque feast prepared and served under tents. We do this lunch event each year and it has become recognized as the best Habitat lunch of the year by people at Habitat. The meal is coordinated by Judy Bodner and our excellent food team with grill masters from partner churches Dodd-Sterling and Big Bethel. This is a wonderful ministry for the Cathedral that is making a real and positive impact on families and communities. We want to encourage you to come join the fun. We will be delivering Christmas baskets in December to our past homeowners and building another house next spring.
