Book Discussion: Myths America Lives By

On Wednesday, October 16, Cathedral parishioners Harris Allen and Deacon Georgia Newman Powell will facilitate a discussion on Myths America Lives By: White Supremacy and the Stories That Give Us Meaning by Richard T. Hughes. The book is available from your favorite independent bookseller, the Cathedral Book Store. All are welcome, even if you didn’t get to finish (or read) the book! Remember that you can stop by the Lanier House Lawn to purchase some dinner, and join us in the Gould Room for the discussion, from 6:30-8 p.m. If you have questions, contact Jeannie Mahood, jmahood@cathedralATL.org or 404-365-1031.

Myths America Lives By is an essential read for those interested in shattering the cycle of racism and imaging a new way forward. The book strikes the perfect balance between intellectual knowledge and heartfelt story-telling.” —Diverse Magazine
