Cathedral Thrift House
The Thrift House Needs Your Donated Items
The Cathedral Thrift House has been serving the Cathedral and the Atlanta community since 1949. You know the drill: (1) you donate your gently used, quality items, (2) the Thrift House sells them, and (3) the profits are distributed to local charities.
But, do you know the specific accomplishments that come from your donations?
Thrift House Trunk Show
On September 18, the Cathedral Thrift House expanded northward for a one-day only trunk show at the home of a Thrift House Board member. Parishioners enjoyed shopping for couture clothing from Chanel, St. John, Worth, and Ralph Lauren; accessories from Kate Spade, Judith Lieber, and Stuart Weitzman; and both “fun” and fine jewelry. Prosecco was served and we learned a new word, fizzicality: the desire to enthusiastically hug one’s friends after the consumption of prosecco.
Cathedral Thrift House Seeks Volunteers
The Cathedral Thrift House seeks good looking, intelligent, fun loving, and hard working people to volunteer at the Thrift House. We especially need volunteers who can lift donations out of cars, but all are welcome! Two hours per week would be best, but you can set your own schedule as long as you volunteer at least two hours a month. Mondays-Saturdays, 10-4:30. Salary—priceless. Benefits—infinite! Please call or email Anne Young at 404-351-6028 or email@example.com.
Thrift House Follies
The Cathedral Thrift House invites you to the Thrift House Follies, a fashion show and fundraiser celebrating the beautiful clothing and other items that are donated to the Thrift House each year. Lola and Charlie Battle are the honorary co-chairs of the event. All proceeds will benefit the Thrift House and its beneficiary this year, Respite Care Atlanta.
